Ashtabula, Ohio – September 10, 2007 – Plasticolors, Inc., a manufacturer of custom colorant and chemical dispersions for the thermoset plastics and paint and coatings industries, announced the appointment of Scott T. Becker to President of the company. Becker held the position of COO at Plasticolors prior to the new appointment. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business from LaSalle University and an MBA from DeSales University. Prior to joining Plasticolors, Becker held the position of President and CEO of Elementis Specialties’ Colorants and Additives business. “Scott has contributed greatly to the success of Plasticolors in the past seven years,” said Steve Walling, Plasticolors’ Chairman and CEO. “In his position as President, he will provide the leadership to continue the company’s aggressive strategic growth plans in the future.” Mr. Becker is past President and past Society Liaison of the Cleveland Society of Coatings Technology. He is currently a Trustee for The Civic Development Corporation of Ashtabula County and a Board Member for Partnership for Education in Ashtabula County (P.E.A.C.). “Plasticolors is truly a remarkable company and I look forward to this new challenge and in driving the growth of our company,” Becker said.
